Topping off a big year, the Junglefy team celebrated Christmas and the presentation of our annual Junglefyer Awards.
We kicked off the day with a bushwalk from the Spit to Manly, then arriving at a harbourside park for a picnic with lots of catching up, games and nourishing food from Two Good Co.
Mike Duffy, Junglefyer of the Year and Accountable Icon (with Jock and Hanna Gammon)
Ending on a high with our awards, Mike Duffy took out the Junglefyer of the Year for being our consistent, dependable and always smiling go-to man in construction. Mike delivers above expectation to ensure every project runs smoothly.
Mike was also awarded the Accountable Icon for always delivering and being responsible for a high standard of work. Mike was also the runner up in Collaborative Champion and SISU Superstar awards, making him our very worthy Junglefyer of the Year.
The Collaborative Champion was awarded to Emily-Rose Reynolds-Woods in our nursery team for being a true team player and lifting up those around her. She works with others to support and provide guidance and in doing so, she creates a strong team culture.
The next award was presented to Morgan Attrill, the Transformation Trendsetter and Maintenance Manager. Morgan has jumped into the role earlier this year and has streamlined processes and improved our service with our highly specialised maintenance team.
Our Sisu Superstar this year was Allanna Girdwood. Sisu is a Finnish award, introduced to Junglefy by our Chair, Hanna Gammon. A Finland native, Hanna described Sisu as possessing grit and determination against adversity; something Allanna has shown throughout the challenges of this year.
Our final award, WHS Leader was presented to Nathan Wills for leadership in workplace health and safety. Nathan has shown his unwavering commitment to leading by example when it come to safety. Nathan consistently looks out for the welfare of others and pre-empts risks before they arise.
“I’m really proud of this year’s Junglefyer Awards winners for their resilience to the changes that this year threw at us” said Suzie Barnett, Junglefy’s General Manager.
“Their attitude is exceptional and has helped us to keep doing the important work of bringing people closer to nature in our cities.”
