Marcello Galuppo, one of Junglefy’s Horticulture Technicians at One Central Park, has received an Innovation Scholarship from BBM to further his career in Italy. Marcello, will work with living infrastructure leaders, Stefano Boeri Architetti in Milan to gain practical experience in urban greening.

The BBM Awards have been established to develop global expertise in Australian youth across a number of industries. The Awards were presented at Sydney’s Parliament House by BBM’s patron; The Honourable Margaret Beazley AO QC, Governor of New South Wales.

On winning the scholarship, Marcello said, “My goal is to help this industry further develop in Australia, by sharing knowledge so people can understand the importance of green infrastructure (green roofs, green walls, vertical gardens, living buildings and self-sufficient systems) as beneficial to the environment and society”.

Marcello began his career with Junglefy as an Apprentice and went on to complete his Horticulture Apprenticeship in 2018. Through this scholarship opportunity, he will share his knowledge to “assist in developing and updating guides and procedures specific to our site and industry”.
