Junglefy are committed to creating social impact through our business to improve the health and wellbeing of others. As part of this commitment, we have developed a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to formalise our mission to learn, understand and support our Aborginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Our RAP is our promise to reflect and embrace the principles of reconciliation for a more inclusive and culturally rich organisation. We're on the start of this journey to collaborate and gain ideas so we can make change together.
Our Goals
Our RAP has been designed using the Reconciliation Australia Framework, to guide us and help us to action our goals. The RAP helps us to create a vision within Junglefy, learn how we can contribute, develop and nuture relationships, collaborate, train and engrain reconcilation as part of our everyday business.
The First Steps
We have worked with Reconciliation Australia, to develop our Junglefy Reconciliation Action Plan, which is formally endorsed and listed on Reconciliation Australia's website. We have appointed a RAP Champion, Junglefy CEO Suzie Barnett, along with a RAP working group to develop and implement our steps towards achieving our RAP goals.
Progress
As a business we have been supportive of using suppliers and employing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff. As a team, we are respectful towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
peoples, with Acknowledgement of Country in our public appearances and meetings, on our emails to educate our team on the lands they work or live and we advocate using native plants. We were involved in the world’s first native roof top farm with Yerrabingin and actively participated in events and initiatives to educate the local community on this First Nations project.
