Want to make a difference?
Go straight to the top.
Urban rooftops are some of the most underutilised spaces in our cities. Install a Junglefy Roof garden and transform a potential heat trap into a cooling, biodiverse oasis people will love.
The Junglefy Roof system combines the essential elements for successful roof gardens, in a flexible format that makes installation, irrigation, maintenance and planting simple.
Some call Junglefy Roofs green roofs, living roofs, or on-structure landscaping. We prefer to Junglefy our roofs.

Research
Our plant-based innovations are engineered to make a measurable difference. Developed by leading scientists and horticulturalists, unlocking the power of plants to make a measurable difference to communities.
+3.6%
increase in solar panel efficiency
When integrated with solar PV, on average, a Junglefy roof improves solar energy output by 9.5 MWh of additional energy generation.1
4-9x
increase in biodiversity
Research has shown an increase of 9x more insects and 4x more bird life on the Junglefy Roof.2
-20ºC
reduction in rooftop temperature
Research has shown that Junglefy Roofs can significantly reduce surfaces temperature, in some instances up to 20°C compared to concrete surfaces. Insulation is another benefit observed, preventing heat transferring inside the building as well as retaining heat in cooler periods.1
99% decrease
in water outlet flow from Junglefy Roof
7L/s outlet flow from Junglefy Roof compared to 634L/s outlet flow from a concrete conventional roof.1
A flexible roof system.
Built to last.
Growing media that lasts
Using specialised mineral-based growing media, which removes metal pollutants from rainwater, we balance known quantities and sources of mineral and organic components for longevity. We don’t use mulch, it blows away too easily. Instead, we use large ground cover plants for protection, which also act as a natural mulch and can contribute to additional organic matter through breakdown over time.
Waterproofing
Installing the correct waterproofing membrane is crucial and potentially daunting part of any project. Junglefy does not provide waterproofing, however, we will offer guidance selecting the right membrane based on previous experience.
Leak Detection
We recommend installing electronic leak detection on all green roofs. This system can identify any damage to the waterproofing prior to the green roof being installed. Once installed the green roof can actually extend the life of waterproofing, protecting it from the the harsh elements. If a leak does occur, the leak detection system can pinpoint the area minimising impact.
Advanced water management
Water efficiency is improved by a closed drainage cell and sub surface irrigation, managed by remote access smart controller. Irrigation cycles are automatically adjusted based on current weather conditions and real-time alerts let our team know when abnormalities in the system occur, like a leak or someone turning off an irrigation tap they were not meant to.
50% less water
You will save up to 50% of water through predictive weather watering alone.

Planting with a plan.
Bee a pollinator ally
With a focus on native species, we carefully select plants that promote biodiversity, and consider the specific needs of the site. We also include a few exotic species as year-round food sources for pollinators, and features like hollows and logs to support wildlife.
Connecting to your unique build
Every project is as unique as the next. We create a custom planting plan suited to your project that strives to incorporate an understanding and connection to place and the distinct elements of your project.
Knowing how to raise the roof
Not just raised garden beds, Junglefy Roofs need to factor in wind, temperature, light exposure, root depth and required maintenance. Years of research and acquired knowledge have help develop our diverse range of species suited to these varying environments.
