Step into Babylonian times at this ultra-cool restaurant at Westfield’s premium dining precinct. Babylon is the latest jewel in the crown from Brisbane-based restaurant empire, the Mantle Group.

Designed by architects, Hogg & Lamb, the restaurant is adorned with hanging planters throughout, echoing the fabled ancient gardens of Babylon. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining on the generous terrace and blends seamlessly into the travertine archways and opulent styling.

The ‘hanging gardens’ use Junglefy’s latest offering, Green Beams that deliver a flexible and practical option for plantscaping where floor space may be limited. With in-built irrigation and drainage, the Green Beams are a complete solution that can be designed to blend in with any décor. Over time, the plants will continue to grow up and cascade over their planters adding the to the lush feel of this middle eastern space.

Our role

Design consultation and construction of the custom Green Beams. The hanging gardens will be maintained by Junglefy, seasonally and as required.

Key Innovation

The innovative Green Beams used in this project are a clever use of space and an effective way to add greenery and biophilic design. The self-contained beams conceal the irrigation and drainage in a beautifully designed product.
