A revitalisation of the Piazza at Castle Towers was untaken to bring nature to this vibrant dining and retail precinct.

A ring of lush, leafy plants surround the Piazza, offering a living and evolving, natural barrier. This helps to reduce reflected heat from the hard surfaces, without encroaching on valuable floor space for dining and foot traffic. The green wall is not only aesthetically pleasing, heat reducing and space saving but provides an all-important connection to nature for the public, that reduces stress and softens the urban environment as they stroll through the Piazza.

Several ground planters with advanced trees also complement the overhanging green walls, which when fully mature, will create shaded canopies to further reduce heat and create a more inviting outdoor space.

Our role

Junglefy provided consultancy services for the initial project scope with recommendations on integrating plants within the space. Junglefy then went on to install the green wall modules on the perimeter of the Piazza and the in-ground trees and shrubs. Junglefy will continue to provide ongoing maintenance for the gardens to ensure they are looking their best throughout the seasons.
